Decided to build another 12V battery UPS Use (solar) charge controller (10A) for input and cut-off battery power. Charger is set to give 14.4V First test with 12V 50Ah = 0.6kWh lead-acid Test successful if it works 24h or more (25 W max load, or 2A at 12V). First test failed because router consumption is rather big, Will measure it after new converter arrival... Target system power backup time is 1 week = 170h Count consumption: 3.5W HDD 6.0W CAM (DC meter shows 4.2W average consumption of 2 cameras, up to 6W on some wireless scan) 60W ROU |

Output in charge controller is the same as battery voltage, but consumer needs +12.0V exactly stable constant voltage. Need stabilizer DC to accept range from +10V to +19V as input and +12V output Found LTC3780 boards on market Best is DC/DC adapter: MEAN WELL DDR-120A-12 device for rail Mean Well SD-100A-12 |
|
Input side: charger has 3-wire connector to mains N - neutral, null = zero L - load, live = 230V AC wave FG = functional ground (free) terminal |
|
Tested XH-M601 battery charging control board 12V it is based on NE555P chip and relay it is made to control (switch on or off) external charger or whatever we need, in depend of voltage 2-inputs are parallel, for battery and volt-meter connection issue is that sense of BAT with charger |

Got factory made UPS for 12V battery Jpower rated 3.0A It has AC 230V input and 2pcs DC outputs directly from battery through relay (discharge protection). Changed output from default 13.5V to 13.0V and connected load - it works fine |

Tested module YX-X850 based on relay 5V DC. It cannot switch uninterruptedly without rework: output must have diode, and capacitor after that (before load) keep in mind voltage drop 0.5V with it - add to power source. Or use load which accepts interruption... YX850 is a power failure automatic switch similar to HW-712 XH-M350 |
