Summary | 0000222: Curcuit of power backup Back-UPS ES 700 APC
Description | BE700G-RS UPS (code R1) APCC 2009 640-3079-Z REV04 has continuous beeping after turn on from battery, with battery 13.3V charged, and chatter sound on AC power . Relay is working (tested direct 12V DC). And battery is being charged (tested with 9V down battery) in off state.

"R1" unit: 13.6V DC power goes to battery even in off state (AC plugged in). On AC220V in MPX-X2 0.1mkF 894H-2CH1-f-S U03 C1224 Fixed by replacement of C2 (25V 22uF) and C3 (25V 22uF). "R2" unit: remade to charger only (no T2, no Q14, no Q18) "R3" unit: beeping continiously after 2 seconds with transformer load sound (self test). v2 PD640-3079A-Z BE550/700G APCC 2009 640-3079-Z_REV04 changed ะก30 (25V 22uF) - no result with other battery - it starts, but cannot switch to AC power after test - relay clicks back to DC... "APC powerchute personal edition" says it is on battery power (discharging)... or charging, but wrong input voltage (about 180V), replaced C2 (25V 22uF) - fixed start and input voltage detection "R4" unit: replaced battery (vertically installed - swelled) |

It was offered replace C14 (100uF*25V) and C30 (22uF*25V) near beeper BZ1. Replaced - no result, but they were bad as well, especially C30. IC2 (LM358) has curcuit with C25 and C2 - effective replacement offered: http://zival.ru/content/apc-be550g-rs-pri-vklyuchenii-pishchit Found heating 25WIRWI KY5050 TI. As user manual says: Constant tone might be caused by: 1) Replace battery - Battery is in need of charging or is at the end of its usual life and must be replaced. "Power On" and "Replace Battery" LEDs - Flashing (alternating). Alarm terminates when UPS turned off with the power switch. 2) Battery disconnected - The battery is disconnected or bad battery. Replace Battery LED - flashing. Alarm terminates when UPS turned off with the power switch. 3) Overload Shutdown - During On Battery operation a battery power supplied outlet overload was detected. None LEDs. Constant tone until UPS turned off with the power switch. 4) If the battery fails the self-test, the Power on LED will flash and the unit will emit a constant tone. We have 3rd(R1) and 4th(R3) cases. |

Main board uses power transistors ST P80NF55 80A 55V (MOSFET) for PRI_A and PRI_B on aluminium bricks. And FDP3651U MOSFET without heatsinks on 5A_125VAC. Input AC line: resistors, TI 1431C (programmable reference). 2209 DI1510 (bridge rectifier) on input AC used, + 10uF450V capacitor, + 1222 LNK520PN (CV/CC switcher), + E153515 transformer. Chip 122351b PIC18F2455 has PD640-3079A-Z firmware. 640-3079-7_REV04 main board has 2 satellites: 640-3079-Z_REV04 both (one relay 793-P-1C-B-S 001 and one 460-1006-Z-001 E151908 CMX 1226 +LM358 +1431C). |

"R2" charger details: "RED thin" provides 13.5V+ power to T and battery charge ? (disconnected white and black - still red powered) "RED thin" goes through F3 to U2-pin1 (EL 816 GK218) and R74 and R88 and C24 (25V 330uF - to Ground 13.6V idle) and D1 (PJ2119 ER26) and C27. |
